Barefoot Carmelites arrived to the town Slaný in 1996. They settled in the Holy Trinity Monastery, which originally belonged to the Franciscan. Community currently consists of ten brothers.

One of the most interesting public buildings in the town of Slaný is Dean Temple Saint Gothard. The Romanesque gothic building, around which the cemetery was located before.

Jazz Club Slany
Regular jazz concerts are held once a month, except summer, and they invited all files primarily domestic jazz styles. Jazz nights are half subsidized by the town of Slany. These concerts have their reputation, they are often recorded by Czech TV and TV jazz club.

Ethnographic Museum in Třebíz retains the external appearance of rustic buildings and selected interiors illustrates housing and rural family life. Baroque hospital in Zlonice was in 1954 converted into a Museum of Antonin Dvorak. Equipment was gradually extracted from the depositories of other monuments, from the Czech Music Fund and from private donors.
Nelahozeves wonderful renaissance castle, which is located 20km from Slaný, is very popular and attendance.
Its biggest attractions include a collection of paintings and crafts. In the interior, visitors will see beautiful furniture, a large number of religious objects, rare glass, ceramics, porcelain, musical instruments and valuables from precious metals. All exhibits dating from the 12th to 20 century. Other attractions include the Beethoven and the Knights' Hall and the largest private library in Bohemia, but it is unfortunately not open to the public.

The mission of the Lidice Memorial is to care for the permanent preservation of memories of annihilation of Lidice and the suffering of its citizens,who on 10 June 1942 became victims of Nazi violence, and maintaining the name of Lidice as a global symbol of war crimes victims.
